Jewelry: Water Coin Necklace

Three vividly blue Chinese coins dangle loosely from this bead necklace, surrounded by imperial jasper, silver beads, and red-bronze glass pearls. Evoking the intersection of Water and Earth with its oceanic blues, earthy bronze, and lunar silver, this necklace is a gorgeous statement of style and character.

Jewelry: Spearpoint Necklace

A necklace meant to evoke more primal times with more primitive materials. Jerynn wove sinew in a herringbone weave and knotted it so that the necklace has an adjustable length. The main pendant is dyed bone, reminiscent of a spearpoint, and is accompanied by metal, stone, and bone beads.

Jewelry: Mother’s Day Necklace (from Jerynn)

Why yes, we did both make our mothers necklaces for Mama’s Day. :) This one includes a jasper pendant, purple amethyst chips, green amazonite chips, blue sodalite chips, round imperial jasper beads, and round coral beads.

Jewelry: Hunter Necklace

Once upon a time, self-sufficiency, strength, endurance and awareness of one’s environment were not merely ideals to live up to, but prerequisites for survival. In some places, this is still so. Then, and even today in a few remote places, the titles of hunter and warrior were one and the same. The courage and skill required to hunt elusive and often dangerous game were also put to the test in combat, and the tools of the hunt became the weapons of battle.

Such individuals often wore symbols of their prowess, that others might recognize them.

This piece, while not specific to any one culture, is meant to evoke the memory and spirit of the warrior-hunter and is a subtle statement of those values and ideals.

Jewelry: Spirit Walker Necklace

In nearly every culture, there has been a need for individuals who can see that which goes unseen, hear that which is not spoken: people who can step between worlds, converse with the spirits of the ancestors, interpret hidden truths, attend and appease the spirits of the land.

There have been many terms used to describe such folk, but out of respect to original cultures, we like to simply call their modern, non-traditional counterparts spirit walkers.

This necklace is a tribute to those who let their spirit fly, in this world or another.

Jewelry: Blue Hethert-Nut Necklace

A gift for my dearest sister, in honor of a goddess we both know and adore: Hethert-Nut, Egyptian goddess of the night sky. The deep blue and longer silvery beads are both freshwater pearl; the larger grey-black beads are fossil, and the others are pearl or faceted glass beads.

Jewelry: Serqet Necklace

Another not-for-sale necklace for personal use (though, again, could make one if someone wanted!) in dedication to Serqet, scorpion goddess of Egypt, Our Lady of Poisons. All pieces are bone and horn.

Jewelry: Ma’ahes Necklace

A not-for-sale (though I could make another if someone wanted one!) necklace dedicated to Ma’ahes, Egyptian lion god, warrior of the sun and personification of the summer heat and the horizon. The larger beads are wooden; the smaller are glass.
