Jewelry: Shining World Necklace

Shiny, cap’n! This necklace is brilliant in any light, with all its beads and its vivid pendant reflecting light brightly. Intricate copper beads are interspersed between river-teal stones and three black orbs with whorls of bronze; the pendant itself is something out of a pulp scifi novel, a planet in glowing, sparkling red with bands of blue and yellow.
This necklace was entered into a company-wide craft fair and won first place! All proceeds were donated to charity.
Jewelry: Coin of the Moon Necklace

Tide, harvest, seasons. All were marked by the moon. Hunter and farmer both have relied on her. Circles, crescents and orbs reflect the lunar influence of this piece’s creation. The coin and finely engraved metal beads are indicative of agrarian culture, whilst the disc and beads of bone and horn harken to a more primal sensibility. While it owes its aesthetic to no one particular tradition, for those who pay homage to Luna, this is a piece for the ages. Also, it looks pretty awesome. Bone, metal, horn and stone beads strung on sturdy leather cord. This necklace is designed to have adjustable fit, able to hang loose and low or be drawn tighter to the neck as the wearer wishes, between 17in and 27in circumference.

Jewelry: Sea-Tree Necklace

The shining teal of the ocean meets the vibrant bronze of the earth in this simple, striking necklace. With a pendant that could be taken as tree or coral – or both – it brings aspects of the sea and of the forest to the eye and to the wearer.
Jewelry: Star Beads

Those of you who don’t know me (Ty) may not realize this, but I don’t actually do beadwork. I leave that to Jerynn – he’s utterly amazing at it. So for me to have done this necklace – and I did, start to finish, only requiring Jerynn’s help with the clasps – is pretty flabbergasting.
I made this necklace for Hethert-Nut, Egyptian goddess of the sky, the Heavenly Cow. The purple beads glitter as though full of stars – the gold beads are each a little different from each other and are that particular shade of gold that She seems to love. The pendant was a gift from some beloved friends years ago; it’s Blue John, a special kind of fluorite only found in Derbyshire in the UK.
