A single length of braided black sinew holds a series of red and black stones, hoops, and metal beads, culminating in a carved image of the sha-animal, a theophany (animal representation) of the Egyptian god Set. A many-strand cluster of red jasper and obsidian chips acts as a counterweight to the dangle’s body.

The spiraling jet is reminiscent of DNA, slowly encircling the ruby-red beads in the center; the dangle is suspended on braided black sinew.
